Shadow Blades is a Subtlety rogue talent that significantly increases damage and combo point generation.
Patch changes[]
Hotfix (2022-11-21): Cooldown reduced to 2 minutes (was 3 minutes). - Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 3 Subtlety talent (was a level 42 Subtlety ability).
- Hotfix (2021-11-04): Fixed an issue where Shadow Blades would continue to attack the enemy after the Rogue was under crowd-control effects.
- Patch 9.1.5 (2021-11-02): Fixed an issue that prevented Shadow Blades gained from
[Toxic Onslaught] to not affect certain off-spec abilities. - Patch 9.1.0 (2021-06-29): Fixed an issue that prevented [Serrated Bone Spike] from benefitting from Shadow Blades.
- Hotfix (2021-03-09): No longer incorrectly affects [Flagellation].
- Hotfix (2020-12-14): Shadow Blades now deals an additional 30% damage against enemy players (was 40%).
- Hotfix (2020-12-08): No longer benefits from increased damage taken effects twice.
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): No longer has a global cooldown. Now learned at level 42 (was 56).
- Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Now causes combo point-generating abilities to deal additional shadow damage (was auto attacks).
- Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Now learned at level 56 (was 72).
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Re-added as a level 72 Subtlety ability (was a level 87 ability for all rogues). Now lasts for 15 seconds, up from 12.
- Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Removed.
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Added.
