Shadow Hunter Rala is a jungle troll who entered Frostwall in Frostfire Ridge via Khadgar's portal with the first wave with Gazlowe and his builders and went to scout the nearby area with his sister Mala. Sent by Rokhan to establish a supply base, Rala is then seen in Darkspear's Edge in Frostfire Ridge. Being surrounded by big monsters and savage giants, he asked the Commander to gather doses of lurker venom and Frostbloom leaves in order to make poison and combat the savage beasts. From the gathered reagents he created a vial of poison to be used against Grosh the Mighty, who had a big stash of pillaged hides and leathers that the trolls wanted to gather for the troops at the garrison. Vol'jin allowed Rala to extend his services to the Commander, and he became their follower and returned to Frostwall.

He can also be seen watching fights between garrison commanders in the Coliseum of Highmaul.

During the Fourth War when Zalazane returned to the Echo Isles, Rala defended the ashes of Vol'jin near the Darkspear Training Grounds.

Abilities

•  Arcane Shot — An instant shot that causes Arcane damage.
•  Counter Shot — Interrupts spellcasting, silencing the spellcaster for 3 sec.
•  Disengage — You attempt to leap backwards, stunning nearby enemies and increasing Haste and Physical damage dealt for 8 sec.
•  Freezing Trap — Launch a frost trap to the target location that freezes all enemies in 6 yards, preventing all action for 10 sec.
•  Rapid Fire — Increases haste by 100% for 15 sec.
•  Shoot — Shoots at an enemy, inflicting Physical damage.
•  Stun — Stun an enemy on attack. Lasts 3 sec.

• He jokes that Mala's voice makes his skin crawl more than the legs of rockworms. He also jokingly says that he has allergies, when discussing picking flowers.
• His father, Ty'jin, wants to have an airship named after him.
