The Shadowtooth clan[4] (also capitalized as ShadowTooth)[1] is the only known dark troll tribe.[3] They aided the night elves, the Alliance and the Horde in the Battle of Mount Hyjal.[1] Dark trolls may have derived from a single troll tribe given their few numbers.[2]
Speaker Ik'nal can be found in Zuldazar on Zandalar. She confirms that the Shadowtooth were wiped out by the Twilight's Hammer during that cult's attack on Hyjal during the Cataclysm. However, the Zandalari keep one representative around as a memento of the past. Ik'nal is now nothing more than a curiosity.
