Shimmerweed is a quest item found in Shimmerweed Baskets among the Shimmer Ridge trolls or dropped by them for  [1-30] The Perfect Stout.

This section concerns content related to Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos or its expansion The Frozen Throne.

In Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, the orc farseer Drek'Thar asked Rexxar and Rokhan to retrieve several bushels of Shimmerweed for a potion he was brewing in Durotar. Rexxar and Rokhan had to fight thunder lizards to retrieve this item.

The Shimmerglaze Roast had a shimmerweed base in addition to being delicious.

Notes

• Shimmerweed used in beer-making. It is grown on Shimmer Ridge by the Frostmane trolls.
• Though the dwarves use the weed in beers, the Frostmane may imbibe it in other ways (such as eating or smoking).
• Shimmerweed is often used in jokes referring to it as a Warcraft version of cannabis.
