Silver ore is found in silver veins and can be smelted into silver bars.

Silver is also a metal used in money.

Silver Vein

Silver veins can also produce gems and  [Coarse Stone]. Silver veins will sometimes but rarely spawn instead of a tin vein, so silver is found in the same areas as tin. In order to mine Silver veins you require a mining skill of at least 75.

Silver veins are most frequently mined in:

• Arathi Highlands
• Badlands
• The Barrens
• Duskwood
• Hillsbrad Foothills
• Thousand Needles
• Stranglethorn Vale
• Can alternatively be bought from: Rathis Tomber in Tranquillien for 3s each

Silver Bar

A primary ingredient of Blacksmithing and Engineering recipes. Silver bars are of uncommon quality. Silver bars can also be very rarely seen as a drop, and more frequently will be found in chests, up to 24%. See Thottbot.
