- This article is about the blacksmith-made general unlocking tools. For the key to the Scholomance, see [Skeleton Key].
Skeleton keys are created and used by blacksmiths to unlock locked doors and containers.
A Rogue's lockpicking is preferable because skeleton keys are consumed when a lock is opened, but skeleton keys will do in a pinch. Note that keys are not consumed if the unlock attempt is unsuccessful.
