Soul Fire is a level 15 Destruction warlock talent. It is a high damage direct damage Fire spell which generates 4 Soul Shard Fragments.
Improvements
Decimation (warlock ability) will lower the cast time and mana cost of the next Soul Fire by 50% Shadowbolt or Soul Fire at a target that is at or below 25% health.
Tips and tactics
It is best used as your initial attack for pulling due to its long cast time. In this sense it is similar to the Mage's [Pyroblast] ability.
This skill is generally one of the warlock's most mana-efficient spells.
For targets under 25% health, Decimation (warlock ability) allows Soul Fire to be cast faster. This passive makes Soul Fire similar to a warrior's [Execute].
The long cast time makes it harder to use in PvP as the time spent casting it is time gained for an enemy player to tear you to pieces.
Notes
- Commonly misspelled Soulfire by Blizzard.
- Soulfire is a basic Warlock spell in Hearthstone. The flavor text reads: "Are you lighting a soul on fire? Or burning someone with your OWN soul? This seems like an important distinction."
