- Use: Stores the friendly target's soul. If the target dies while his soul is stored, he will be able to resurrect with 110 health and 1700 mana. (30 Min Cooldown)
Soulstones are created with a warlock's [Create Soulstone] spell.
Patch changes[]
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Removed.
- Patch 4.3.0 (2011-11-29): Range increased from 30 to 40 yards.
- Patch 4.1.0 (2011-04-26): Can now be used in combat to resurrect a targeted dead player.
- Hotfix (2010-12-16): It is no longer possible to waste a Soulstone by attempting to use it on a dead target. The player will receive an Invalid Target error message at the completion of their channel. In a future patch, we intend this functionality to work correctly, allowing a Soulstone to be used to instantly resurrect a dead target.
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Now resurrects with 30% health and 30% mana.
- Hotfix (2009-09-22): Soulstone Resurrection now fades upon entering raid combat if the character who cast it is not present.
- Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Now generates a log entry indicating who casted and received a soulstone.
- Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): The soulstone's animated visual effect no longer appears around the warlock when the soulstone is used. It appears around the soulstoned target now.
- Patch 2.1.0 (2007-05-22): Soulstones can no longer be used on targets not in your party or raid. In addition, the soulstone buff will now be removed if the target or caster leaves the party or raid.
- Patch 1.1.0 (2004-11-07): Now soulbound when created, are consumed to store the target's soul. When that target dies, he may resurrect himself any time up until release. Cooldown added.
