Sphere of Suppression is an Azerite Essence obtained through battlegrounds. This essence can only be used by tank specializations.

Rank 1 is learned from [Sphere of Suppressed Force], a quest reward from [50] Storming the Battlefields. For characters who chose a different essence when completing Storming the Battlefields, this item can be purchased for 5 [Mark of Honor] from Marshal Gabriel in Boralus or Xander Silberman in Zuldazar.
Rank 2 is learned from [Sphere of Unrestrained Fury], purchased for 25 [Mark of Honor] from Marshal Gabriel or Xander Silberman after completing [Battlefield Brawler].
Rank 3 is learned from [Sphere of Leeched Mobility], purchased for 25 [Mark of Honor] from Marshal Gabriel or Xander Silberman after completing [Battlefield Tactician].
- Players who have learned Rank 3 of Sphere of Suppression, [Artifice of Time], or [Blood of the Enemy] on any character have the option to purchase this item for 2,500 [Echoes of Ny'alotha] from MOTHER in the Chamber of Heart.

The subject of this section could only be obtained prior to patch 9.0.1.

Rank 4 was learned from [Sphere of Incandescent Neutralization], purchased for 25 [Mark of Honor] from Marshal Gabriel or Xander Silberman after completing [Battlefield Master].

Notes[]

Ranks beyond Rank 1 cost only 10 [Mark of Honor] each for characters who have already learned the same rank of [Artifice of Time] or [Blood of the Enemy].

Patch changes[]

Hotfix (2019-10-02): [Blood of the Enemy], [Artifice of Time], and Sphere of Suppression Rank 2 now requires 10,000 Honor (was 15,000 Honor) and Rank 3 now requires 30,000 Honor (was 50,000 Honor).

Developers' note: We fixed a bug that incorrectly allowed Honor rewarded from quests and mercenary mode bonuses to contribute toward the "Battlefield Brawler" and "Battlefield Tactician" achievements required to unlock these Essences. To account for [this change], we have reduced the Honor amount necessary to earn these Essences. Rank 4 for these Essences will remain unchanged.

Hotfix (2019-07-18): Resolved an issue that prevented Sphere of Suppression's movement speed reduction from being removed by effects such as [Blessing of Freedom].
Patch 8.2.0 (2019-06-25): Added.
