Spinefish are malformed abominations from Pandaria, created by the sha presence. No part of the fish is edible, but they do have properties that are very interesting to alchemists.

The alphas of the species are one of Pandaria's deadliest predators. The big ones are terrifying creatures that often display cannibalistic behavior, apparently out of pure aggression.

Spinefish are fished up from schools of spinefish in Kun-Lai Summit, Dread Wastes, Townlong Steppes and The Jade Forest.

• During the early beta, the unused [Prismatic Jellyfish] was renamed to a second ID for the Spinefish.
