The Staff of Souls was the staff wielded by alternate Ner'zhul. Although the staff is not described by name, it can be seen acting as a conduit when Ner'zhul summons the Dark Star at Light's Fall.[1]

- Ner'zhul of the main timeline is never seen wielding a similar staff, so it might be exclusive to the alternate universe.
- Oddly enough, Gul'dan is wielding the Staff of Souls in the Nightborne: Twilight of Suramar comic instead of his own staff. This may be because during the Hellfire Citadel end cinematic Gul'dan's staff was likely destroyed, instead of teleported to him.
- The item Ner'zhul's Staff of Shadowmoon was a transmog reward for Diablo III from the BlizzCon 2014 goodie bag.[2]
