Static Shock is a passive specialization ability for Enhancement shamans, available at level 40. It gives [Stormstrike] and [Lava Lash] a chance to deal damage equal to one charge of [Lightning Shield] without consuming an orb.

Notes

• Since [Lightning Shield] costs no mana this is considered the best shield for Enhancement Shamans.

Patch changes

• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Removed.
  
• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): No longer a talent. Now a passive ability for Enhancement, available at level 40. No longer affects [Primal Strike].
  
• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Redesigned. Now triggers only from Primal Strike, Stormstrike and Lava Lash. No longer increases Lightning Shield charges nor consumes any when it procs.

  Previous effect: You have a 2/4/6% chance to hit your target with a Lightning Shield orb charge when you deal damage with melee attacks and abilities, and your Lightning Shield gains 2/4/6 additional charges.
