Notes and trivia[]
- This item is a replacement for
[Dartol's Rod of Transformation]. The original rod (which can be used anywhere) is now unobtainable, and the quest instead gives one that is limited to use in Ashenvale. Players who missed out on Dartol's Rod of Transformation can use this instead, albeit with a much longer cooldown. - This is also the only way for Horde players to use the Furbolg shapeshift.
- Players under the effect can engage in combat, but taking damage will cancel the transformation. Like with other transformation items,
[Reflecting Prism] can prolong the effect and make it persist through combat. - It applies the model of the Thistlefur Avenger.
- The [Primal Stave of Claw and Fur] is a newer counterpart to this item that applies an updated furbolg model.
