- This article is about the Primalist Future event. For the Valheim quest, see [45] The Storm's Fury. For the wrecked airship in Deepholm, see Storm's Fury Wreckage.
The Storm's Fury is a world event that runs for two hours every five hours in the Primalist Future of Thaldraszus. There is no lockout, so players can complete the [70EWQ] The Storm's Fury world quest as often as they like.
Players are breadcrumbed to the event from Zawarudu atop the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken, who offers [70] Storm Warning. Soridormi then offers [70] Resisting the Storm, asking players to complete the event. Neither quest is required to participate in the world quest, however.
Freezing and Warmth[]
The event area has a Freezing mechanic, serving as a stacking debuff:
- Freezing — The coldness of the Primalist's future causes 2,167 damage every 5 sec. This effect stacks. Seek out places that provide Warmth!
To avoid getting frozen to death, either find campfires, stand in the bubble at the Temporal Conflux, or use a purchased [Field Deployable Heat Source] from Tarnormu at the conflux or Temporal Squadron Logistics drakonid after the portals close to gain Warmth:
- Warmth — Warmed, removing the effects of Freezing Any attempt to apply Freezing will instead remove one stack of Warmth. Stacks to 25
Scenario[]
The Storm's Fury[]
- Close the elemental portals
- Elemental portals active (4)
- Soridormi says: The storm grows stronger. Prepare yourselves, I fear this is the Primalists' doing.
- Soridormi says: The Primalists are preparing to attack the Temporal Conflux. We must not allow them to gain access to the time portal!
- Soridormi says: Disable their elemental portals. They are using them to empower a monster that is to be unleashed upon us.
- Soridormi says: Though tread with caution, the storm has made the valley bitterly cold. Find ways to stay warm lest you freeze.
Four Elemental Portals activate, marked on the zone map. Each portal has its own control bar — much like in battlegrounds like Eye of the Storm — so shift the bar from primalist control by killing the attacking waves of enemies.
Close one:
- Soridormi says: Well done. The Primalists will attempt to open the portal once more, but we can aid in its defense.
Once players gain control, enemies will keep spawning, so some players will need to stay behind to defend the portal. A few defender NPCs will also appear to help, but they cannot solely defend on their own. Additionally, after gaining control, an NPC from Temporal Squadron Logistics will spawn, keeping a campfire lit for Warmth and selling [Armaments of the Scale] for 30 and a [Field Deployable Heat Source] for 50. The heat source will be useful for the boss fight once all four portals are closed.
Should players lose control of the portal, it fully resets and they will need to fill the bar from scratch.
- Soridormi says: The Primalists have reactivated a portal! We must disable it!
Close all four to continue.
March of the Primalists[]
- Defeat the Primalist monster!
- Primalist monster defeated
- Soridormi says: The portals are closed, but the Primalists have awoken their monster! Destroy it!
At the north end of the area, the Primalist monster loses its immunity shield and becomes attackable. The boss is one of:
Rewards[]
The world quest awards a [Glowing Primalist Cache] for the first completion of the week or a [Primalist Cache] for all subsequent completions. The boss directly drops 5-7x [Essence of the Storm].
The epic glowing cache contains roughly 250, 2 [Storm Sigil], 9 [Essence of the Storm], 75 [Dragon Isles Supplies], and a chance at Primalist gear.
The rare regular cache contains roughly 100, 3 [Essence of the Storm], and 75 [Dragon Isles Supplies].
Both caches are worth 20% progress for the weekly account-wide [70W] Revival Catalyst quest.
