Stormwind Gryphon Riders are squads of mounted human soldiers atop their white gryphons in Stormwind City. Two squads can be seen flying over the different quarters of the city, and near the palace. If a Horde player tries to fly over the city or gets too close, they will be attacked.
Regularly, one of them comes and reports to Captain Melris Malagan of the Stormwind City Guard in the Trade District.
During the Battle for the Broken Shore, many of them accompanied the third fleet to the Broken Shore, but most didn't survive.
A group of them blocked the entrance at the Stormwind Gate when the dracthyr first arrived in front of Stormwind.
