• Sul'thraze the Lasher
  • Acquire Sul'thraze the Lasher.
  • Criteria:

    Acquire item Sul'thraze the Lasher

Sul'thraze the Lasher is awarded when the player acquires  [Sul'thraze the Lasher] by combining  [Sang'thraze the Deflector] and  [Jang'thraze the Protector]. The latter weapons are looted from specific Zul'Farrak boss mobs.

Sang'thraze the Deflector drops from Antu'sul (the boss found in the basilisk area of the dungeon). Jang'thraze the Protector drops from Chief Ukorz Sandscalp (the boss whose uphill path is protected by a gate until the temple event has been completed). Both one-handed swords have approximately a 20% chance to be looted.

Legacy-type achievements are reserved for player achievements that can no longer be obtained, such as recognition of participation in a unique world event or acquiring an item that has since had its source removed from the game. This raised the question in the community[1] over whether or not a Legacy achievement for Sul'thraze the Lasher indicated that it would become unobtainable in Patch 7.1.0.

As of Patch 7.1.0 going live, the epic 2-hand sword is still obtainable by players, but confusion over the addition of the Legacy achievement remains.[2]
