Sun's Reach is town and the staging area for the Shattered Sun Offensive on the Isle of Quel'Danas. Their forces must battle against the army of Kael'thas Sunstrider, including the Dawnblade blood elves, the wretched, and demons of the Burning Legion.
History
After the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas, Sun's Reach was taken over by the Sunfury who served the Burning Legion. Sun's Reach became overrun with blood elves loyal to Kael'thas Sunstrider, wretched and demons.
As the Offensive begins its move, the town is completely under the control of Kael'thas' forces. Their first missions are to recapture and activate Sun's Reach arcane sanctum; then to capture the armory and fire up its forges; and finally to take the harbor. Once Sun's Reach is secure, the offensive builds a memorial to commemorate their fallen.
In World of Warcraft
In the game, these objectives are sequential, and expressed through a series of daily quests. As each set of quests is completed enough times by the server, the name and text of each quest changes to reflect the completed phase; and a new batch of quests open up.
