The Sunveil Excursion is a blood elf encampment located to the southwest of the Blasted Lands. Set up at the time at the time of the Cataclysm, its inhabitants are members of the Reliquary, the Horde equivalent of the Explorers' Guild. Interested in the demonic artifacts once hidden in the Tainted Scar, the leader of the excursion, Rohan Sunveil, ordered the creation of the camp and led his subordinates to practice an archaeological study in the Tainted Forest, where they focused their work in the acquisition, cataloging, and preservation of any and all magical artifacts.[1]
However, because of a corrupted Gilnean druid of substantial power named Marl Wormthorn, the unnatural forest threatened the Reliquary excursion's progress, as its trees' roots broke their picks, its moss grew over their excavation sites, and its animals attacked their men.[2] In order to halt the corruption, and to finally be able to continue their archaeological study, Rohan Sunveil asked Horde adventurers, sent by Warlord Dar'toon on his request,[3] to reduce the number of demons,[4] and to kill the corrupted druid.[5][6]
Years later, when the Ironmarch entered Azeroth through the Dark Portal, the camp seems to have been deserted by its occupants. Their fate is unknown, although Rohan Sunveil and Clarya Sunveil could be later found in another camp of the Reliquary in Val'sharah, on the Broken Isles.

Notes[]
- Although Surwich had its NPCs returned, Sunveil Excursion is still devoid of any NPCs as of Battle for Azeroth which is likely a developer oversight. It can be also speculated that, lorewise, the camp is deserted.
