Surge of Darkness is a Shadow priest talent.
Trivia[]
- During Warlords of Draenor under the older talent system, for Discipline and Holy priests it was replaced by
[Surge of Light]. In Dragonflight, Surge of Light is now in row 9 of the priest class's main talent tree and available to all specs.
Patch changes[]
Patch 10.1.0 (2023-05-02): Removed.
Hotfix (2023-01-09): The trigger rate of Surge of Darkness has been reduced by 25% while in PvP Combat.
Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Re-added as a row 5 Shadow talent (was a level 45 Shadow talent).
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Removed.
Patch 6.1.0 (2015-02-24): Now has a 12% chance to trigger (up from 10%).
Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Previously the Shadow option for
[From Darkness, Comes Light], now a separate talent. Now has a maximum of 3 charges (up from 2) and can now also trigger its effect from Devouring Plague, but its chance to trigger has been reduced to 10% (down from 20%) to compensate.
