History[]
A Cleansing Fire[]
Suzannah was married to Thomas Thomson and lived on a farm in Tirisfal Glades by the time of the start of the Third War. They would sometimes go visit the fountain in the Terrace of Repose at the Monastery of Tirisfal.[1] During the Scourging of Lordaeron, it was at her husband's urgings that she tried to bring herself and her two children to the distant land of Kalimdor in order to escape the undead Scourge. However, complications prevented them from leaving. Thomas, the future Headless Horseman, would come to the conclusion that a storm destroyed the last ship fleeing to Kalimdor.
In time, the Thomson's hiding spot from the undead would come under attack by the paranoid and zealous humans of the Scarlet Crusade. Ironically enough the one to kill Suzannah and her two children would be her own husband, who wouldn't recognize them until it was too late.[2]
Dragonflight[]
After the awaking of the Dragon Isles, a shade impersonated the ghost of Suzannah and encountered the ghost of Thomas and an adventurer who was aiding him at the Scarlet Monastery.[3]
After the shade was defeated, Thomas and the adventurer found the real ghost of Suzannah by the fountain at the Monastery. She urged him to go away as he was lured into a trap. Jerome Hayton used dark magic to bind and corrupt him, wanting him to turn to the Headless Horseman once again. Suzannah and the adventurer quickly found the dark magic's soulstone foci. Although they managed to destroy the foci, wanting to disrupt Jerome's dark ritual, they were unable to prevent finishing the ritual, and Thomas was turned to the horseman.[1]
Not wanting to abandon him, Suzannah asked the adventurer to accompany her deep into the Monastery and help her save Thomas.[4]
