Talisman of Binding Shard is a legendary item, notable for only ever dropping once. It was looted from Baron Geddon in Molten Core by Noktyn-Archimonde US of the guild Nurfed on March 23, 2005. The item is no longer obtainable; Blizzard removed it from the loot tables the same day Noktyn obtained it, but allowed Noktyn to keep theirs.[1]
According to Travis Day, Talisman of Binding Shard was used by Blizzard in a test version of the Thunderfury quest line. The quest was removed and was not publicly released, but Blizzard forgot to remove the item from the loot table.[2]
Notes[]
- This is unofficially the first legendary item that dropped worldwide.
