Bladespire Hold[]

The Chronicle's Bladespire Hold is located in Frostfire Ridge, not in Gorgrond/Blade's Edge Mountains. It is actually the equivalent of WoD's Bladespire Citadel. --Mordecay (talk) 12:50, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

Blade's Edge Mountains is still canonically the result of Frostfire and Gorgrond being squished together, though, right? Or has it been retconned to just be Gorgrond = Blade's Edge while Frostfire was destroyed? If it's the former it could either be an oversight and Chronicle is meant to refer to Bladespire Citadel, or it's another Blade of Grass™ and Bladespire Hold and Bladespire Citadel are alternate versions of the same location. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 13:00, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
That's what people and Frostfire's page say. Is it from Blizzcon? The Chronicle V2 doesn't elaborate on this. Looking at Chronicle's and WoD's maps, they seem to be alternate versions. Maybe Outland's Bladespire Hold's name was built after the shattering of Draenor and the name was inspired from Frostfire's Hold? Or Outland's Hold could be the remnants of Frostfire's (given the Frostfire and Gorgrond merging is correct)? --Mordecay (talk) 13:09, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
I'm not actually entirely sure where the Frostfire-Gorgrond merge was stated. I assume it was at BlizzCon (either 2013 or 2014) but I never bothered to watch all of the panels from that. There is a subzone called Blade's Edge Mountain in Frostfire, though, so that's pretty strong evidence by itself. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 10:18, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Even then, comparing Burning Crusade and WoD makes it pretty logical. Frostfire Ridge has the spikes and the Thunderlord clan homeland, something later found in the Blade's Edge mountains. Xporc (talk) 10:36, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
I want to say it was at a Blizzcon too. And in addition to what Xporc said about the spikes and Thunderlords, FFR has the mountain named Blade's Edge and the Circle of Blood. ReignTG (talk) 11:38, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Found it, it was a blue post: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/11836023835?page=2#post-34 ReignTG (talk) 11:46, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Ah, there we go then. -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 11:48, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
THANK YOU Xporc (talk) 11:56, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
Also, I found the BlizzCon statement in case that's needed: [1] -- IconSmall TrollDeathKnight Male DeludedTroll (talkcontribs) 19:03, 26 March 2017 (UTC)
