Two versions of Lich King tactics?[]
Why are there two versions of Lich King tactics? Hans Kamp (talk) 06:54, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
- Because he's in two different instances. --Joshmaul (talk) 06:55, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
- Does that mean he will escape or something in one because even he can't die twice. BobNamataki (talk) 22:31, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
- You answered your own question. --g0urra[T҂C] 22:35, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
- No I did not. You are posting your own thoughts here while I am merely asking for information which could help my edits in the future. BobNamataki (talk) 22:37, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
- remember this is wow, anyone can "die" more than once e.g. Keal'thas, Anub'arak. smarky55 (talk)
- It's not that simple. If you kill someone once, lorewise, they will not be there in the next room. BobNamataki (talk) 12:05, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

- Kael'thas did not die in TK, lore says that he was saved by Delrissa on the very last moment. As for Anub'arak, Taldaram, Keleseth and Valanar, they where already undead, so kill them as many time as you want, if the Lich King has their body, necromancy can raise them again and again.
- For the Lich King, there are two articles, because he is met in 2 different dungeons, uses different abilities, gives different loots and the end of the encounter is likely not to be the same.

Identified Abilities[]
He once used moves called Wrath of the Lich King and Fury of the Lich King. Do you reckon those will be included? They appear to wipe but so will many bosses apparently. Thoughts? BobNamataki (talk) 11:02, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
During the Gauntlet Event, he also has a freezing aura much like the hunter's Frost Trap that reduces movement speed by 75% to everyone in range. If someone falls in his melee range, he oneshots the player.Orisai (talk) 02:33, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
The Move[]
To answer to Gordon Ecker who placed the move tag and the question "why should the Halls of Reflection vesion get name priority?"
Just like Anub'arak, we choose to set (tactics) for the first encounter and (<location> tactics) for any other. Getting something of a "chronological order"

- On the other hand, I'd say this is something of a unique situation, because unlike Anub'arak and Kael'thas both fights are being patched in at the same time. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 08:40, October 29, 2009 (UTC)
- Yap, but shouldn't we stick to this naming convention even if it's patched at the same time. To give a chronological order, first Halls of Reflection, he flees and then we meet in IC ?

In truth is is us that flee... However I am for the move to Lich King (Halls of Reflection) --N'Nanz (talk) 15:18, November 5, 2009 (UTC)
- Keep it as is - that's generally the theme, either in terms of what comes first (i.e. Kael'thas) or in terms of difficulty (i.e. Anub'arak, even though he did a "reverse-Kael" and was given his second instance many patches later, it follows a train of difficulty - he was a 5-man boss, then he became a raid boss). --Joshmaul (talk) 18:22, November 9, 2009 (UTC)
27 million health!!![]
Under his tactics page for Halls of Reflection it shows that he will have well over 27 million hit points. Is this supposed to be accurate or just a placeholder as that is what he already has ingame?AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 22:59, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
- Based on the achievement, at least, the goal is to escape from him, not to defeat him. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 23:10, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
- That's speculation. The Lich King has a high body count doesn't he? But you're right, you'd probably have to run. BobNamataki 10:25, November 4, 2009 (UTC)
- Given the effects of the Lih King's Fury in the Cathedral of Darkness, that's pretty logical to flee.

Mentioning of ways to exit the instance[]
There is a mention of the Dalaran Portal at the end of the "Chase" tactics section. I have added that if one enters employing the Dungeon Finder, you get teleported back to wherever you entered the instance from. However, there's also the quirk that, as soon as you are on the airship, you cannot use the Dungeon Finder to teleport out of the dungeon. You will have to use the portal if you wish to get back where you were before. I do not know when exactly this "teleport out stop" kicks in, which is why I have not mentioned it. I have not really tested this out so far (a group that is willing to risk a wipe for this would be required). What I know, however, is that it is possible to teleport out in the first hall where the bosses For there is quite something to write about this it seems, I sugggest to move all the "Dalaran Portal" stuff to the actual instance page. Encounter name[]
On the official WoW Site the ecounter is named "Escaped from Arthas". So I suggest a move. Although wowhead calls it "Wraht of the Lich King". --LemonBaby (talk) 17:38, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
