Talk: Farming

To me it seems that farming has come to encompass more than just repeated mob killing. For example, some people use the auction house to farm gold, using addons like Auctioneer to repeatedly scour the entire auction house for underpriced items and reselling. It seems that this tactic of 'gold farmers' is another form of farming.
