Dunno what the link originally said, but i can confirm that the sourced info is indeed correct. It was confirmed in the first (and only - yet) Ask CDev:

"What did the massive machines around the Storm Peaks, like the Engine of the Makers, actually do?

These machines are all part of the same system: the Forge of Wills."

i was more looking at the fact that the forge of wills was used to create the iron dwarves and others.--Ashbear160 (talk) 19:11, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Oh yeah remember hearing about that part somewhere... I think it is said either by Brann in Ulduar or in some of the quests for Ulduar :)
