Does someone knows how much the speed is increased, in percent?
It should be able to get an estimate by just taking time for running a straight line with and without the spurs.

Thottbot has a good thread about this which basically says:
"Carrot on a stick +3%, Monkeyspeed shows 165%. Mithril spurs +4%, Monkeyspeed shows 166%. Both ~+7%, Monkeyspeed shows 171%."
With a good follow-up comment saying that it's probably good to talk in terms of percentage of walking speed, so Spurs could be said to be +6%.
I'll go ahead and update the article, but am new to this wiki so someone might want to clean it up for editorial style.
