Ogri'la and Shangri'la[]
is it just me or is that a conncetion on blizzards part I want to post that but im just curious to see if im wright. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by NPC582 (talk · contr).
- Blizzard often makes pop culture references. The fictional place of Shangri'la is a utopia enclosed in the western Kunlun Mountains, as Ogri'la is enclosed on a plateau in the western Blade's Edge Mountains and is referred to by the Ogres as an "Ogre Heaven." How to start?[]
You're supposed to talk to one of the naaru in Shattrath, to be sent to talk to an ogre sitting by the apple cart that the one guy keeps whining about, to be sent to Ogri'la to start the rep chains there...but I can't talk to the naaru at all, and the ogre just says 'Go help bloodmaul'.
Does anyone know if you need a certain rep to be able to start this, or what? --Azaram 14:13, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- No, there's no rep requirement to start the Ogri'la quests. You'll start off at Neutral once you've spoken to the ogre in Lower City, then work your way up from there. --Thargan 10:46, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- I still couldn't get the quests, so I put in a ticket. The GM seemed to actually look things up instead of spamming the usual 'working as intended' macros, and suggested that I needed to get my rep higher to be able to get it. --Azaram 09:01, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

- You dont have to actually talk to the ogre in Shattrath to start. If you go straight to Ogri'la, one of the ogres will tell you to go talk to the NPC by the arena and start the quests that way.--Syzgyn 18:01, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, but I wanted the money and/or rep. Turns out I already had the 'talk to the guy on the tower' quest from somewhere, although I'd never talked to Grok and been given an option to take a quest. I abandoned it and went back to the naaru, and was able to pick it up. If you go to the PVP arena in Blade's Edge, one of the ogres there gives you the same quest to talk to the guy at the top of the tower he's standing in front of. --Azaram 01:37, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

- It's actually somewhat challenging to get through the whole event. I tried it today with about 10 random people, and we couldn't get past the towers. The problem is that the rewards are probably not worth the effort of putting a real group together... --Syzgyn 05:57, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Rep past Exalted[]
Is anyone else not able to get more than 0/1000 Exalted rep? Might be worth mentioning if it's not just me bugging out. --Pcj 00:32, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Hit exalted earlier today, handing in a quest that should have pushed me a couple of hundred into exalted, but I'm stuck at 0/1000 right now. Even after handing in the Wrangle Some More Aetherays Daily quest. Will see what happens tomorrow, when I do the dailys for cash. --Thargan 20:40, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

- If it was possible to get the last point in exalted, wouldn't that mean you'll be 0/XXX with the next reputation above exalted? It's sort of like how you get 0/21000 revered instead of 12000/12000 honored. (And because there is no level above exalted, that's why it stops at 999.) DaAznSaN 21:44, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
