Minimap change?

I noticed that the minimap now only shows which section of i.e. Silvermoon City you are in, as to before you could see neighboring areas aswell. Can anyone verify this change? Picture from before, and after.--Alfuin (talk) 01:46, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

This is entirely unrelated, but I reported a bug on the official forums, regarding the pet minimap icon. According to someone, the "pet icon" on Minimaps has changed from the 15th to 16th position.

Q u o t e:

This is indeed a bug. The error is that the player pet's minimap blip was previously the 15th icon (2nd row, 7th column) in Interface\Minimap\OBJECTICONS.BLP. In patch 3.2, the WoW client is trying to use the 16th icon (2nd row, 8th column) in Interface\Minimap\OBJECTICONS.BLP which Blizzard left blank. Using Minimap:SetBlipTexture("file"), I'm able to use a set of blips that does work by using one of my own textures with an icon in that 16th position.

Not entirely sure what can be done about it. User:Doc Lithius/realsig 23:44, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Faction change?

So, did the faction change get sunk? --Azaram (talk) 12:37, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Nope, but you can create characters of both factions even on PvP servers now, in preparation for the faction change, as Eyonyx said. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 12:41, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Faction Restrictions Lifted

While technically not part of the client, the change is important enough to be noted. Prior examples, hotfixes have been included in the Undocumented features notes, despite not being part of the client. Drakkenfyre (talk) 16:05, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Other Changes

Hoi hoi, fellas. Wands are back on Global Cooldown as of this patch. Fire Wands also have a new casting sound. Just thought you should know. User:Doc Lithius/realsig 00:02, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Also, Voidwalkers now learn Spell shadow antishadow [Consume Shadows] at Level 18 (as it used to via tomes). I know this because my Voidwalker did NOT have Consume Shadows BEFORE the patch went into effect. So either my Voidwalker was bugged, or the level requirements changed. Fishing Hat

The [Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat] no longer has a 1-minute equip cooldown.

I've confirmed this, and so will move this undoc'd change to the main undoc changes page Corwin MacGregor (talk) 18:31, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Nope. The official page is just changes Blizzard has released. Anything confirmed by users goes on the undoc page. Anything that's speculation or unconfirmed shouldn't be on the undoc page at all (although the talk page is alright). /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 3:10 PM, 7 Aug 2009 (EDT)
Howbizr, with all due respect and no intent to flame, i did put the change on the undoc page. I even stated my intent to do that in the note above. do verify your sources before you tell people they've screwed up, thanks. Corwin MacGregor (talk) 21:24, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Deathmast0r (talk) 21:50, 7 August 2009 (UTC) Old cooldown was 30 sec, not 1 minute.

Argent Lance and the dailies that hand them out

I've confirmed that N [80 Daily] Battle Before The Citadel consumes the Inv spear 05 [Argent Lance] a person may have when they turn in the daily. can anyone confirm either way whether A [80 Daily] At The Enemy's Gates/H [80 Daily] At The Enemy's Gates also consumes the Argent Lance when turned in?
Corwin MacGregor (talk) 10:42, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

It might be because I already had one in my bag before the patch, but it still sits there on its position in my second bag after turning in the Citadel daily 4 times now. Dunno about Horde Lances as I always delete that one after accepting the quest, for bag space reasons. Nathanyel (talk) 11:32, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Inv spear 05 [Argent Lance], Inv spear 05 [Alliance Lance], and Inv spear 05 [Horde Lance] are all Unique. when one of the jousting quests tries to give you another lance of a type you already have in inventory, the duplication fails (sometimes with an error message of "You already have one of those") Corwin MacGregor (talk) 21:29, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
It might be because I'm just coming home from Rhein in Flammen and slightly drunk, but you were talking about turning in the quests, not accepting them. I don't get your point. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 00:15, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Unless patch 3.2.0 made a change, when ever I had recieved a Inv spear 05 [Argent Lance] and did my Daily quests and turned them in I still had the item in my inventory. I use the addon Outfitter and told it to auto-wear the lance when I am in specific sub-zones because those areas are where the quests are. I usualy delete the lance, in particular when I am looking for the rare in the land (so that Outfitter can not auto-equip it). -- (M o r p hJames E. Rooks, Jr. aka: Morph

425 Jewelcrafter

My guild members said he didn't get the mail, and he was at 439. Marking as citation needed. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 1:39 PM, 7 Aug 2009 (EDT)

I did get it, at 429. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:13, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
I got it at 425, hence the change i put in. Should be noted, the writ starts a quest that requires 400 jewelrycrafting, however i was at 425, can't confirm you can do it all the way down to 400 - Moraganth - Moraganth (talk) 11:50, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Is that guild member with skill 439 maybe not 80, 75 or 70 yet? ~ Nathanyel (talk) 12:26, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
-70 perhaps, my alt, at lvl 73, also got the e-mail. Possible that the person in question wasn't at the appropriate skilllevel when the patch went live? Deathmast0r (talk) 21:38, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh, i can help a little on that too... my alt is my JC, and was only 65 when she got the mail... So the lower confirmed minimums are 425 skill, lvl 65. (could be all the way down to the quest requirement listed on the item of 400)- Moraganth (talk) 04:11, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Mage AOE haste change

It appears that the channeled casting time for Spell frost icestorm [Blizzard] is now affected by the mage's haste.
