Updates Mid 2011[]

Are there any updates on this? From the Ask the Devs or anything? The last edit of the page was 2007, and all I can find on other sites is dated 2007 or 2008. Scotepi (talk) 02:28, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Grammar problem[]

This sentence, originally improperly comma-spliced to the one in front of it, is gibberish. "These can only be used outside of combat, and set a named attribute to a specific lua value, discarding the value's taint."

The first clause, "These can only be used outside of combat, " is fine and should probably be changed to a stand-alone sentence.

What the point of the remainder of it is, I have no idea.

What is being "anded" here? How is that conjunction relevant?

Does the author mean, "Outside of combat, use a named attribute to set a specific Lua value in order to avoid taint."?

I can't tell, exactly. What I can say is that this is unclear to the point of being indecipherable (not the words - each word is spelled correctly - but the aggregate has no meaning to speak of). Mltco78dhs (talk) 16:56, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

The conjunction just connects two clauses related to the same subject. The correct interpretation of the second clause is "[These methods] set a named attribute to a specific Lua value, discarding the value's taint." — foxlit (talk) 20:32, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
