I do not see where this page can go without the problems of the Cannibalism page.--SWM2448 00:15, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Lets see, we have goblin Slavers, the Crimson Ring... What else? This page needs more stuff or the boot.--SWM2448 18:53, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Would controlling through means of magic count as slavery? Such as in the case of the blood elves. They had all their their little 'helpers' that ceased to obey when the blood elves lost their grip on them. Which species would fall into the 'counted as slavery' category? --Linarra (talk) 15:42, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Slavery as sections on race pages[]

Should we really include slavery on the pages of entire races like Zandalari Troll and Ogre? The user whom originally create the slavery section on a race page that the others were based off, was a troublemaker intentionally trying to provoke other users. We should assign slavery to the organization that practiced it such as the Gorian Empire, rather than the entire race, the slavers belonged to? If we do keep slavery sections on race pages, we should at least be consistent with which races get them. The largest Human organization, the Alliance of Lordaeron was known to practice slavery, so if race pages have "slavery" sections, humans should be no exception. That said, I'd vastly prefer "slavery" sections be restricted to the specific organization that practiced it. Gann Stonespire (talk) 04:17, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

Once again, like on discord, i don't know about that "troublemaker intentionally trying to provoke other users". And to be honest, no one care, if the information are wrong, we change them, if they are true with sources, we let them, or we may correct them to be more adapted to the specifics sources. In the ogres case, yes the section is adapted, because their entire race (empires/clans/groups) did slavery at all time. For the Zandalari, we can let it, because the subject is about slavery, and it is important to show that they are AGAINST slavery. So there is no problems about it. I said troublemaker, because the person that created the huge slavery section on the Orc page had a grudge against another user that felt Thrall allowing slaves in the comics was out of character and they wanted to annoy him by saying all orcs practiced slavery and it was in character, so they made a huge ranty section about how all orcs and Thrall are slave dealing hypocrites.
As for Ogres, not all Ogres are part of the Gorian Empire or part of clans that practice slavery, same as how not all humans are from Lordaeron or Dalaran. Gann Stonespire (talk) 10:01, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
If there's a racial page and another page about that race's main nation, as is the case of the Zandalari, I wouldn't be against moving the slavery-related cultural notes from the race to the national page. Xporc (talk) 09:35, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
Ok, sounds good, we can do it for the Gorian Empire, the Zandalari Empire, Lordaeron (kingdom) and Azshara's Kaldorei Empire. Gann Stonespire (talk) 10:01, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
"Lordaeron (kingdom)" and "Alliance of Lordaeron" are not interchangeable. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 16:21, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
Most of the internment camps were set in Lordaeron, but we can put it on the Alliance of Lordaeron page. Gann Stonespire (talk) 18:47, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
