Merge candidate

We should probably merge the content from warlock minions into this article because they appear to be about the same topic. /chomp‎ Howbizr(t·c) 11:14 AM, 12 Jul 2009 (EDT)

Minion ability coefficients

Does anyone have information on minion abilities' attack power and spell power coefficients? I couldn't find anything on elitistjerks. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 04:21, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

I've gotten information from the rawr source code. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 03:57, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

Spell Lock 200 ~19.5%
Anguish 110 ~10.5%
Cleave 252 ~24%
Intercept 160 ~15%

I just noticed that many warlock ability costs are out of date. While calculating the costs based on base mana, I noticed that warlock minions don't gain as much health or mana from stamina and intellect as player characters. Here are the results of my calculations. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 03:57, October 1, 2009 (UTC)

Actually, it seems that minion abilities still have fixed, rank-based mana costs. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 04:49, October 1, 2009 (UTC)
After Corfen's recent edits, I did some checking and noticed that the inheritance information from warlocks' stamina tooltips and the bonus health and mana from minions' stamina and intellect tooltips are inaccurate. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 03:49, November 25, 2009 (UTC)
Actually, after further testing and calculations, it seems that, although the stamina inheritance tooltip is inaccurate, the health from stamina and mana from intellect tooltips are correct. Minions only get 1 mana per point of base intellect, and don't get any health from their base stamina. Corfen's values are correct for health from bonus stamina and mana from bonus intellect. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 03:16, November 26, 2009 (UTC)

Genders

I don't see this happening anymore... before it would have just been 5 demons to worry about genders, with the ability in 5.0 to change demons to more powerful demons, they'd have to do genders for 10 for a purely cosmetic reason... oh well, would have been interesting to see a pink void walker lol. I think we would only see different gender for demons that made sense(voidwalker, infernal and fel hunter make no sense having females)--Ashbear160 (talk) 15:12, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Move suggested

I'm suggesting to move this page to Warlock minion to make it more clearer and make space for the mob type that exists in Mists of Pandaria. Alternatively the page stays and a new article for the mob type is created (although the naming would be trickier). --g0urra[T҂C] 12:12, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

That's ok by me although i think this page really needs to be updated.--Ashbear160 (talk) 13:54, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Sounds good, minion is basically a general term anyway, anyone can be a minion. SnakeSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3For Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 00:06, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
