Stances[]

I was reading somewhere that while in Battle and Berserker Stance, you generate only 80% of normal threat, and in Defensive stance you actually generate 130% of normal. While varying quite widely from the in-game stated descriptions, I've seen these numbers in pretty much every thorough analysis of threat generation. If someone can find someplace to confirm this, it should definitely get onto this page somewhere. My0p1c 01:27, 13 Mar 2006 (EST)

You will generate 120% and it can be increased with talents. Keleborn 01:10, 10 July 2006 (WCA)

As of the last patch, the information about all rage being lost when changing stances is invalid: there is a new spell learned at level 20 from the vendor that will retain 10 rage points during a stance changes. DragonFireCK 12:01, 8 January 2007 (PST)

Uhh, I'm not sure the description of Protection-spec warriors is really accurate. Swashbucklers, to me, aren't a good way to describe a Prot warrior to a new player, or to somebody who may want to play one, because they don't really play and behave like a swashbuckler would... it's really more similar to playing a Brawler, slinging insults and other obscenities at your enemy to make them go "Okay, time to shut this guy up." --Hanar 04:21, 7 February 2007 (EST)

I always thought fighting a prot warrior was like fighting a brick wall with audible, personally insulting graffiti. You hit it as :hard as you can, trying to remove the insults, but you're still hitting a brick wall, and the taunts don't stop.
--Revanmal 1:30, 9 September 2007 (EST)
I agree. Swashbucklers may be taunting boastful but they most certainly do not wear plate, they are more the agile, light armor types. --Necoia 22:29, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

Could anyone post how the Warrior talent tree looked like before the Burning Crusade talents came into the game? I mean, back when Tactical Mastery was in the Arms tree.

--Killahxxx 15:14, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

I've removed the paragraph on stances from the introductory section because it's redundant with the section on stances later in the article and seemed too detailed for the introduction. --Thalasso 08:59, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

warrior lore[]

Lore existence?[]

Its a shame Warriors have no lore :(, I mean they are everywhere! --SaudiGamer 10:24, 20 Jan 2006 (EST)

Ive added a small sentace just to say why there is no lore! Perhaps a good expansion for warrior lore might be to list all the historical warriors for each race, IE Grom Hellscream for the Orcs. Although be careful not to list people who could be classed as other classes, such as Thrall. Although Thrall is a warrior, he is a warrior through shaman abilities! -- Diggory 10:57, 27 Jun 2006 (GMT)

Made a nice start to the idea, all feel free to add your own characters and ideas :) -- Diggory

REMOVED[]

Cenarius was the trainer of other great heros, such as Tyrande , Illidan and Malfurion. He died def ending Kalimdor of Grom Hellscream and his grunts.

Cenarius was a druid through and through. I understand characters like Thrall could be a warrior as well as a shaman but Cenarius was the embodiment of druidism so he cannot be classed as a warrior. -- Diggory 08:50 30/08/06 (GMT)

Turalyon, while being a powerful warrior, I'm sure, was specifically a Paladin. In WarCraft 2 he had the same skills as any other Paladins, such as Exorcism and whatnot. --Pure.Wasted 21:49, 26 September 2006 (EDT)

good point. Turalyon removed. Lothar, however, stays.--Ragestorm 22:33, 26 September 2006 (EDT)
What about Arthas then ? He was clearly a Pally ...--K ) (talk) 17:11, 4 November 2006 (EST)

No lore? Puhleeze, you just didn't know where to look ;). I've added in quite a bit of lore for the article.Baggins 06:00, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

grom hellscream[]

not sure he was a blademaster as such. His model in warcraft 3 was of a blademaster, but he weilds an axe in game. He was never famous for being a blademaster, but for his warcry. Anyone agree or disagree?--Diggory 05:19, 23 January 2007 (EST)

Why would using an axe not make him a blademaster?--Zexx 10:15, 23 January 2007 (EST)

Well blademasters are kinder like graceful samurai types aint they? In groms lore, he wasnt really like that - more the type to charge in warrior style, obviously screaming a war cry. --Diggory 04:56, 25 January 2007 (EST)

on futher thought, i realise im being a pillock over this, just ignore me :P --Diggory 12:01, 2 February 2007 (EST)

Blademasters get to use whatever weapon they want... Grom wasnt a tauren cheiftain, nor a far seer, so what orc hero was left? The blademaster. Besides he was an extremely good warrior so the only thing that kept him from being a bladremaster was his inability to talk with the spirits. Baldr

illidan[]

moved illidan from 'OTher races' to Night elf. He may have evolved into a demon/night elf but he is still a night elf--Diggory 09:10, 25 January 2007 (EST)

Rexxar[]

Im pretty sure Rexxar is classed as a hunter. The fact he is more hand-to-hand based simply means hes surival spec? :P But the whole Misha thing more or less defines him as a hunter IMO. other thoughts? --Diggory 04:06, 1 March 2007 (EST)

I'd support removing Rexxar - a preference for fighting hand-to-hand doesn't really qualify you fully as a "warrior", it's the mastery of it that counts. Pendragon 02:56, 27 March 2007 (EDT)

Race Introductions[]

Love the new introductions to each race, whoever done it! Top Job --Diggory 10:43, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Okay who added 15 extra gnome, blood elf, human or night elf and several races under "other" warriors that noone ever head of? We are talking warriors of legend, not the collage roomate of the twice removed cousin of the thirteenth in command of a forgotten village. Requesting permission to DELETE all these forgotten losers. By the way...oooh a commander with the rank of commander, a famous person with no page that i've never heard of. If you cant state anything but the obvious don't post please. Baldr

I agree. There shouldn't be that many Human warriors listed, only ones that are important. No need to listing ones that walk about Stormwind.

Regards Warchiefthrall 09:42, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Maybe we should add something about Gnomes having an advantage (It's damn hard to hit them)in the Gnome intro --Shiryo 14:32, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes but adding useless ppl doesnt help Baldr 00:52, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

No. This is "Warrior Lore", not "List of Warriors", and some people in this list aren't even warriors. Go ahead and remove some. --Hurax 03:59, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

As long as its not the high elf im ok.--Gurluas 05:08, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Racial Bonuses[]

Did I miss something or does the author of the "racial bonuses" section have Racial orc berserkerstrength [Blood Fury] and Ability racial bloodrage [Bloodrage] confused? Palintropos (talk) 06:38, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Both types?[]

Is this article on both the warrior NPC class from the Warcraft RPG and the new warrior class from the World of Warcraft RPG? Rolandius Paladin (talk - contr) 03:54, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

At which level?[]

33 Agility = 1.0% crit | 30 Agility = 1.0% dodge At which level ? Incomplete informations...

Better Leveling Guides[]

I'm taking down the two "guides" that are currently on the Warrior pages. Both take you to sites geared towards selling a more in-depth guide. I know there are free and comprehensive resources out there. Any ideas? Schm0 (talk) 22:58, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

do dwarves make good warriors[]

I do not have a wow account yet and would like to know if dwarves make good warriors

I wouldn't see why not!? There're already a lot of dwarf warriors! Jupitus (talk) 19:04, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

DPS at lvl 70+ for a warrior not normal to only be 650 - 1500 is it?[]

Well guys I got no idea but my main is a lvl 74 and is only hitting 650 too 1500 with special attacks other than that it's quite low. Ive had many comments made on my DPS due to this so does anyone know why it is so low or if this is normal? if so could you let me know ASAP, kind nice to know. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Clonog (talk · contr).

Lor'themar Theron as a Warrior?[]

Why is Lor'themar Theron included here as a Warrior if his own page states this as a speculation? Wouldn't it be better to include him in the Hunter article referring to the WoW TCG?--Adûnâi (talk) 01:20, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
