Teachings of the Monastery is a Mistweaver and Windwalker monk talent. It improves [Tiger Palm] and [Blackout Kick].
Patch changes[]
Hotfix (2023-05-08): Blackout Kicks from Teachings of the Monastery now deal 15% reduced damage for Mistweaver Monks in PvP Combat. - Hotfix (2023-04-10):
- Mistweaver: Blackout Kick copies from Teachings of the Monastery no longer deal increased damage in PvP (was 15%).
- Windwalker: Fixed an issue that caused the copied Blackout Kicks from Teachings of the Monastery to deal 15% increased damage in PvP combat instead of the intended 30%.
- Hotfix (2022-11-21): Fixed an issue that caused copied Blackout Kicks from Teachings of the Monastery to deal 20% less damage than intended.
- Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 4 Mistweaver and row 7 Windwalker talent (was a level 19 Mistweaver ability). The chance to reset the remaining cooldown on Rising Sun Kick when casting Blackout Kick has been lowered to 12% (was 15%).
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 19 (was 10).
- Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Re-added and redesigned as a level 10 ability (was a level 34 ability). Now makes [Tiger Palm] cause the next Blackout Kick to strike additional times, and gives [Blackout Kick] a chance to reset the cooldown of [Rising Sun Kick].
- Old: You become adept in the ways of the Mistweaver, amplifying Crackling Jade Lightning, Tiger Palm, Blackout Kick, and Spinning Crane Kick.
