The Tear of the Moons is contained in General Twinbraid's Strongbox in the Barrens.
The excavators of Bael'dun found the crystal at Bael Modan. It gave powers to Feegly, but General Twinbraid took it and locked it in Bael'dun Keep. Feegly wanted the crystal back and seemingly did something to his colleagues. In turn, he was exiled. Feegly asked Horde adventurers to bring it back to him. Upon acquiring and rubbing the crystal, it made strange noises and changed him to a trogg. Dropping from his hands, the crystal shattered.[1]

- In Hearthstone's Book of Mercenaries, the shard that Feegly stole from Kazakus is a shard from a naaru that is able to transform individuals into troggs.
