Objectives

Travel to Telogrus Rift and complete the scenario.

Description

Umbric and his blood elves were cast out of their home for their pursuit of understanding.

I know the dangers of the void better than most. We should lend them our aid and ensure they don't do anything too foolhardy.

This rift will take us to their current location. I hope we are not too late to help them.

Stage 1: Telogrus Rift

Alleria Windrunner says: There, up ahead. That must be Umbric.

Run forward to speak with Magister Umbric:

We've been working for years to comprehend the powers the void might provide. Now we are on the cusp of understanding.

 What is this place?

Stage 2: A Walk in Shadow

• Walk with Umbric and Alleria ^{[49.3, 76.8]}

Alleria Windrunner says: Magister Umbric! I am Alleria Windrunner.

Magister Umbric says: Alleria Windrunner!? How did... My, what an unexpected honor!

Magister Umbric says: My people and I heard tales of what transpired on Argus. As you might imagine, we have a keen interest in your interaction with the darkened naaru.

Alleria Windrunner says: Another time, perhaps. This champion and I have been searching for you. We know of your exile from Silvermoon and felt we shared common ground.

Magister Umbric says: Indeed! Like you, we believe the void can be used to defend life rather than consume it. We have made great progress, Lady Windrunner, but many mysteries remain.

Magister Umbric says: Take this cube, for instance. It is an ancient device, perhaps even predating life on Azeroth. It seems to have been locked, and we cannot yet open it.

Alleria Windrunner says: Careful, Umbric. Answers to such mysteries often come at a price.

Stage 3: Revelations

• Use the void portal. ^{[49.0, 72.9]}

Alleria Windrunner yells: Look out!

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: At last.... the future I foresaw has come to pass. Thank you for opening the way.

Alleria Windrunner says: Show yourself! Who are you?

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: Names are of little consequence. A more interesting question is.... What shall you become?

Alleria Windrunner yells: Over here!

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: My people were reshaped by the void. Stripped of the limitations of flesh. We offer you the same gift.

Alleria Windrunner says: Resist the whispers, Umbric! This "gift" you are offered is little more than enslavement.

Magister Umbric says: Rrrrrurgaaghhh! I feel the power... calling to me... changing me...

Alleria Windrunner says: Come, <name>. We must stop this transformation before my people are lost!

A handful of enemies appear, including Netherguard Phaseblades, Netherguard Transmogrifiers, and Creeping Voids. Defeat them, then follow Alleria to the Void Rift.

Stage 4: The Void

• Repel the void

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: Even shattered as it is, this place echoes with the whispers of the great ones who were slain... and the hatred of he who broke this world.

Alleria Windrunner says: Dark forces surge through these ashen stones. No wonder the ethereals were drawn here.

Help defeat enemies to fill the progress bar.

Stage 5: The Rift

• Use the void portal. ^{[37.3, 49.3]}

Alleria runs off to the northwest. Follow her and take the portal.

Stage 6: A Force Approaches

• Close the rift.

Alleria Windrunner says: This void storm is a conduit... a doorway that must be closed.

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: Why do you resist? You stand on the threshold of a grand destiny.

Alleria rushes forward to stand against some Dark Manifestations. Help defeat them to fill the progress bar.

Stage 7: Nhr'gesh of the Void

•  Nhr'ghesh defeated

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: A pity you remain defiant. The patience of the masters is vast... but not infinite.

Defeat Nhr'ghesh, a void revenant that spawns in the center of the area.

Stage 8: The Forge of Durzaan

• Use the void portal. ^{[28.9, 38.3]}

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: A minor setback. What is in motion cannot be undone. Surely you see this.

Alleria Windrunner says: There! Durzaan is using those forges to draw in power. We must break his hold on Umbric's people.

Follow Alleria to the third void portal and take it.

Stage 9: Power of the Voidforge

• Voidforges shut down x3

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: The void will transform you... awaken what you were meant to be.

Alleria Windrunner says: No. These people are not yours. They are not lost.

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: Do you not see what we offer? The majesty of chaos... the glory of infinite hunger!

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: Why do you fight your destiny, Windrunner? Join me and rule by my side!

Alleria Windrunner says: I see through your lies, Durzaan. So will the others.

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: So be it. Your death is regrettable... but necessary.

Shadowy Voidwyrms are defending three Voidforges. Clear out the wyrms and interact with the forges to destroy them.

Final Stage: Stop the Transformation

Defeat the Nether-Prince

• Nether-Walker defeated

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: I offer freedom. I offer strength. Cast off your mortal shackles.

Alleria Windrunner says: Our destiny is our own, Durzaan! You will not define our future!

Alleria tanks Nether-Prince Durzaan, so finish him off.

At 35%:

Nether-Prince Durzaan says: The transformation... incomplete... must be finished...

Alleria Windrunner says: The only thing that will be finished here... is you.

Victory:

Magister Umbric says: Alleria... <Name>... My people are free, but we have been... changed. And the voices...

Alleria Windrunner says: Durzaan tried to tear away your mortality. To make you like him--a slave to his hunger.

Alleria Windrunner says: But your fate is still your own, Umbric. I can teach you to quiet the whispers. To make the shadows serve you, instead of serving them.

Magister Umbric says: My arrogance was nearly our undoing. I dabbled with powers far beyond my control. If you will train us, Alleria. We will follow where you lead.

Alleria Windrunner says: I sense the powers at your command. They are... considerable. You would make valuable allies of the Alliance.

Magister Umbric says: Silvermoon turned its back on us long ago. Today we are reborn... and it is fitting that we walk a new path. From this day forth, the Alliance has our loyalty.

Alleria Windrunner says: And in turn, I pledge to aid you on your journey. <Name> and I will inform High King Wrynn of this news. Then I will return, so that we can begin your training.

Magister Umbric says: It will take some time for us to adjust to our new forms. We look forward to your return, Lady Windrunner. And <name>, you have our deepest thanks.

Finale

Take the Rift to Stormwind to return.

On complete:

Alleria Windrunner says: High King Wrynn, <name> and I found the sin'dorei. Like me, they have been changed by the void-- but their hearts and minds remain their own.

Alleria Windrunner says: I will be their guide. I will train them to control the whispers of shadow. In return, they will fight with the Alliance against all its foes.

Anduin Wrynn says: It may take time for these void elves to earn the trust of some in our ranks. But so long as they adhere to your teachings, they are welcome in the Alliance.

Anduin Wrynn says: You have done us a great service this day, Lady Windrunner, <name>. You have my thanks.

Alleria Windrunner says: It is an honor to serve once more, High King. For the Alliance!

Anduin Wrynn says: For the Alliance!
