The Temple City of En'kilah is a Scourge fortress in the northeastern corner of the Borean Tundra, southeast of the crashed necropolis of Talramas. According to Private Brau, En'kilah is a "plagued Nerubian city".[2] while Muradin Bronzebeard mentioned that the city was built by the Scourge. It is a place of decay and darkness behind stone walls that could have used a steadier hand at the level.[1] Floating above the temple city is another Scourge necropolis, Naxxanar, which served as the command center of the Scourge in the Borean Tundra.
History[]
During the war against the Lich King, various undead high priests performed dark rites in the spires named Blood, Decay, and Pain located within the temple city.[1]
Following the war against the Jailer, the brothers Bronzebeard reported that the temple is still crawling with Scourge, but at least they don’t have a unified purpose to drive them out into the tundra. The necropolis Naxxanar still floats over En’kilah, but there doesn’t seem to be much going on there anymore.[1] They also reported that Taunka'le Village, a ruined taunka village near the temple, is overrun with leaderless Scourge from En'kilah.[3]

Digsite[]
The grounds of En'kilah Digsite are a nerubian archaeology dig site.
According to Brann Bronzebeard, there's a lot of good Scourge nerubian artifacts here, only if someone is quick with their shovel and quiet enough to sneak around the ghouls.[1]
Notes[]
- According to Muradin Bronzebeard, the temple's architecture got similarities to buildings of the Old Nerubian Empire, while the differences may be put down to undead brain rot.[1]
