The Great Anvil[49.7, 43.6] is an anvil located in the center of the Great Forge in Ironforge. It has been in use for unknown centuries. Many weapons and objects of beauty have been crafted upon it, including the Ashbringer, which was made by King Magni Bronzebeard himself.[1][2] When Magni became mobile again after being turned to diamond four years earlier, the Anvil was the first thing he went to see in his walkabout around the city.[3]
The Great Anvil can be used both for blacksmithing and as a forge for smelting. No recipes are exclusive to it.

Ironforge - the Awakening of the Dwarves states: "Constructing an altar for their Titan father, the dwarves crafted a mighty forge within the heart of the mountain." This religious altar and the Great Anvil are presumably one and the same.
