The Horseman's Sinister Saber
The Horseman's Sinister Saber drops from the Headless Horseman, a summon-able boss during the Hallow's End seasonal event.
Notes[]
The use ability is on a cooldown, but the Pumpkin Soldiers will persist for awhile and can deal large amounts of damage to foes they attack.
While they follow the wielder of the sword around, they are independent and will automatically aggro foes in the area. They provide the user with a lot of DPS, but at the risk of drawing unwanted threat.
The Pumpkin Soldiers' level will also scale with the level of the user. If the user is level 80 when they acquire the sword, the Pumpkin Soldiers will also be level 80, when the user become level 81, the Pumpkin Soldiers will be level 81 when summoned and so forth.
The stats of the sword itself however remains constant, making it (even with the level increase of the Pumpkin Soldiers) less usable at higher levels. However, after summoning the Pumpkin Soldiers you may switch to your regularly equipped weapon without the soldiers de-spawning thus making an extra damage boost. The drawback is that you must wait for the animation of the summoning sequence to finish (your character will throw out three large fireballs) as you may end up with just one or two Pumpkin Soldiers. Note that if your regularly equipped weapon has an "on use" function, you will also have to wait the normal cool down for that item. Using a macro may help you in this process.
