The Kurken is a nian found in Stillpine Hold on Azuremyst Isle. Kurz the Revelator thinks the Kurken was brought to the Hold by the invading wildkin led by Chieftain Oomooroo.

- At the time when Burning Crusade was released, the Kurken was tameable, but this was soon fixed. In the "Echoes of Doom" patch, the Kurken was made tameable once again, this time as a member of the "core hound" exotic pet family. He requires
[Exotic Beasts] to capture, only available to Beast Mastery hunters.

Due to its identical appearance and close proximity (being in Northern Kalimdor), it is possible that the Kurken is related to the demigod Omen in some way. In saying that, they might simply share the same model.
