Valstann Staghelm was the son of Archdruid Fandral Staghelm. Fandral's mate died during Valstann's childbirth, and Fandral formed a strong relationship with Valstann as a result. When Valstann was slain during the War of the Shifting Sands, Fandral was inconsolable.
To this day, Fandral remains determined to restore his son to life.
