Tidus is a small fishing village on the beach a half-day's travel north of Ratchet. The town is unremarkable except for the set of ancient stone stairs, called Tidus Stairs, that extend from the beach and vanish beneath the waves. Local legend says that they descent to a Kaldorei city that fell into the ocean after the collapse of the first Well of Eternity. Adults and children of the village dive down as deep as they can manage, but thus far none has found anything but a continuing staircase.[1]

The inventor of footcarts was once a poor tinker who employed her talents at toymaking in this coastal town. The most popular of the products she sold in the marketplace were miniature, phlogiston-powered, dwarven steam tanks.[2]

The settlement exists somewhat in-game, not as a village, but with just a single hut in Tidus Stair — and is not a named subzone.
