Timbermaw Hold is a reputation faction of Timbermaw furbolg within the tunnels of Timbermaw Hold. Only if someone proves themselves by driving back the corrupted Deadwood tribe and Winterfall tribe, may they one day consider them as an ally. Only allies are allowed to pass freely through the tunnel.
Reputation[]
The Timbermaw Furbolgs guard the Timbermaw Hold cave that connects Felwood, Moonglade and Winterspring. Players begin at unfriendly reputation with Timbermaw Hold faction, but can very quickly (30-60 minutes) reach exalted. There are a few short quest chains and some one-time quests which provide a large amount of reputation. Also, there are repeatable turn-in quests for items dropped from enemies in the Deadwood tribe (Felwood) and Winterfall tribe (Winterspring). Each kill on these enemies also provides a small amount of reputation.
Building a reputation with this faction allows access to a number of crafting recipes and other benefits such as the [Stave of Fur and Claw] disguise item. When you reach exalted, the quest [15-30G] The Root of All Evil which upon completion gives you [Defender of the Timbermaw] trinket. Players also obtain the [They Love Me In That Tunnel] achievement for becoming exalted with Timbermaw Hold. This is a component of [The Diplomat], along with Sporeggar, and either Mag'har or Kurenai respectively.
The strategy and time requirement to advance this reputation was significantly changed in The Shattering (see here for prior version).

- [15-30] Feathers for Grazle, [15-30] Feathers for Nafien
- After completing [48] Timbermaw Ally or [15-30] Deadwood of the North, you will be able to turn in [Deadwood Headdress Feather] from furbolgs in Felwood. Turning in 5 feathers yields 2000 reputation. Drop rate estimated at 20–30%, stack in lots of 250.
- [56] Beads for Salfa
- After completing [15-30] Winterfall Activity, you will be able to turn in [Winterfall Spirit Beads] collected from furbolgs in Winterspring. Turning in 5 beads yields 2000 reputation. Drop rate estimated at 20–30%, stack in lots of 250.
Strategy[]
At Level 44–46+: Talk to Grazle at Emerald Sanctuary in Felwood, to get the [15-30] A Talking Totem and complete the short quest chain. This will allow you to loot [Deadwood Headdress Feather] items from the Furbolg in the area. These feathers can be turned in via a repeatable quest to Grazle for 2000 reputation per 5 feathers. Players may choose to simply grind the Deadwood here in the south area for 20 reputation each kill, and turn in feathers all the way until exalted. This is a good option if you want to save the rest of the zone's quests for later, or just want a simple alternative. Be on the lookout for the level 45 rare spawn Ragepaw, which provides a bit more reputation.
Level 47–49+: Head to the northernmost point of Felwood and speak to Nafien and Ferli outside the Timbermaw Hold tunnel entrance, and complete their quests. While doing so, kill Deadwood until you locate a [Deadwood Ritual Totem] (quest starter item) and have collected Feathers in multiples of 5 to turn in to Nafien. Hand in the one-time quests and all Feathers. Accept the [15-30] Speak to Salfa quest and head into the Timbermaw Hold tunnel. Inside, turn in [15-30] Deadwood Ritual Totem and pick up [15-30] Runecloth (and [15-30] Sacred Cloth, if a tailor). From there, follow the east tunnel to emerge into Winterspring.
Level 49+: Talk to Salfa, just outside the Timbermaw Hold exit to hand in [15-30] Speak to Salfa and pick up two quests. Hand in [15-30] Delivery for Donova and complete all of Donova Snowden's furbolg quests. Travel to Winterfall Village (east of Everlook) to pick up the two quests just outside the entrance and complete them.
Until exalted: Travel back to Timbermaw Hold and hand in [15-30] Winterfall Activity, [15-30] Runecloth (30 [Runecloth] needed, dropped commonly in Winterfall Village), and [15-30] Sacred Cloth (Tailors only, requires 2 [Mooncloth]). Turn in all Feathers (x5) and Beads (x5) that you have on-hand. Continue killing Deadwood or Winterfall furbolg for reputation and to collect Feathers or Beads for turn-ins.

When you reach Exalted, Gorn One Eye within Timbermaw Hold offers you a quest, [15-30G] The Root of All Evil. The quest explains that the source of the corruption stems from a Satyr named Xandivious. He gives you a Demon Summoning Torch which you must take to the top of Winterfall Village. [63, 38] Using the torch summons Xandivious. When defeated he drops a bag that contains "Essence of Xandivious". When you return the essence you are awarded the [Defender of the Timbermaw], a trinket with a 10 minute cooldown that summons a pet shaman that can both heal and fight.
