Torment is a single target damage spell, one of the four abilities of the Voidwalker warlock minion, learned automatically at level 10.

Notes

Despite the tooltip reading Shadowstrike, it appears Torment simply deals shadow damage.

Tips and tactics

With Mists of Pandaria, Torment no longer generates bonus threat. Instead, Voidwalkers rely on [Threatening Presence] in conjunction with Torment and basic melee attacks to maintain aggro.

Patch changes

• Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Removed. Replaced by [Consuming Shadows].
  
• Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): No longer generates bonus threat.
  
• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Now a high-threat damage attack instead of a taunt, the functionality replaced by [Suffering].
  
• Patch 0.12 (2004-10-11): Now usable against targets that are immune to shadow attacks.
  
• Patch 0.7 (2004-06-15): Mana cost and potency increased.
