Touch of the Kirin-Tor completes the pre-Blackrock Foundry portion of Khadgar's legendary quest chain. To get to this point, players must acquired the Pure Solium Band from Skyreach, turned it into the first version of the legendary ring, acquired the cores of Flame, Iron, and Life from the Bloodmaul Slag Mines, the Grimrail Depot, and the Everbloom, acquired exactly 4,986 Apexis Crystals, defeated Teron'gor in Auchindoun, acquired the second version of the legendary ring, defeated the Spirit of Kairozdormu, killed Ko'ragh and Imperator Mar'gok in Highmaul, and acquired 125 Abrogator Stones from Highmaul bosses.

The legendary quest continues in Blackrock Foundry and in the post-Patch 6.1 portion of the quest chain.

Archmage Khadgar says: Come, this way. This will only hurt - well, quite a bit actually.

Archmage Khadgar says: The power once reserved for the Sorcerer Kings, I place in your hands.

Khadgar and Jaina summons an orb of fire.

Archmage Khadgar says: Omnivus, al-vitrade! Arcanum totalus!

The orb of fire increases in size and floats toward the entrance, leaving a beam of light on the ground.

Archmage Khadgar says: Hold out your hand, and step into the light!

Walk inside the red circle, which will knock off roughly half the player's health.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: These are dangerous forces you're working with, archmage.

Archmage Khadgar says: Our friend needs them. The hardest trials are yet to come.

Alliance version:

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: Good luck, champion. Be careful in that foundry!

Horde version:

Lady Jaina Proudmoore glares intensely at you.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore says: I'll be keeping my eyes on you.

Jaina teleports away.

On complete, the player's level item level 680 ring disappears. Make sure to equip the item level 690 version!
