Talent Overview[]
- More armor equals less damage taken, which in turn saves some extra mana from your healers.
Notes[]
This talent scales with your gear. For a well equipped end-game paladin tank, this talent's damage reduction would be equivalent to 4-5% extra dodge/parry, however it is more consistent since it applies to all physical damage taken. Higher physical damage reduction makes you require less healing by a small amount, but during 5-minute or longer boss fights in the instances, it quickly adds up and is making quite some difference.
- This talent is considered essential for Protection Paladin tanks.
Patch changes[]
- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Removed.
- Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Toughness is now a Tier 2 and 3 Ranks talent, down from Tier 3 and 5 Ranks. No longer reduces the duration of movement slowing effects, now increases armor value from items by 3/6/10%. (Up from 2/4/6/8/10%)
