Description

Dis be a dark place, <name>. We gotta track down da spirit who be trapped here.

Me tink me can pick up its trail... but dat be all dis ol' shadow hunter can do.

If me be tryin' ta fight wit' ya, da threads dat be tyin' me ta Azeroth might break. Den I gonna be stuck here, too.

C'mon. We best be moving.

Notes

There is no special dispensation for the Eye of the Jailer, so if players have already maxed out on threat they are encouraged to return after the daily reset.

On accept:

Spirit of Vol'jin says: I be trackin' da spirit for ya, but dat be all. Anyting more, and I gonna risk bein' stuck here forever.

The first clue is a Used Cage next to the Waystone to Oribos. Open it:

Spirit of Vol'jin says: We been spotted, mon!

Rulkros says: Join this spirit in eternal torment!

Defeat Rulkros:

Spirit of Vol'jin says: Hmm. Dey tortured da spirit... den moved it somewhere else. I got da trail.

Head down to the Face of Oblivion on the way to Perdition Hold, and look for another Used Cage:

Spirit of Vol'jin says: Dis be a tough one ta track... even for a shadow hunter. Let's go.

Head southeast to spot Ashamane on the ground near the other bridge to the Beastwarrens:

Spirit of Vol'jin says: Dat be Ashamane! A wild god from da War of da Ancients!

Speak with Ashamane:

You... you are no torturer.

I was within... a beautiful forest... and then some force took me...

My captors return... guard me... until my strength returns...!

 I will slay the monsters that have been torturing you.

Ashamane says: They think... they can hunt me? I will see them... torn to shreds!

Take out the three ambushers, then Brynkros spawns:

Brynkros says: The warrens will claim your soul!

Defeat him, and Ashmane runs off:

Ashamane says: Well fought... Now come. Vengeance... can wait.

Catch up to him on the bridge to the Beastwarrens:

I remember being ripped from a forest. Refusing to aid that vile Mueh'zala... then being thrown into here.

If I had my strength, I would rip him apart and scatter his remains across all of existence!

I must return to this forest. What aid can you give me?

 I can take you back to Ardenweald if you go inside the soulkeeper crystal.

Ashamane says: Mueh'zala will yet know my fury. I place my trust in you, mortal...

The soul enters your Soulkeeper.

Spirit of Vol'jin says: <Name>... I be sensin' loa nearby!
