Trial of the Crusader bosses — The Trial of the Grand Crusader bosses

Trial of the Grand Crusader is the heroic mode version of Trial of the Crusader. These are the hardest raid encounters before Icecrown Citadel.

Tribute Chest[]

The subject of this section was removed from World of Warcraft in patch 4.0.3a.

A major difference between Trial of the Crusader and Trial of the Grand Crusader was the Argent Crusade Tribute Chest. Upon entering the Coliseum in heroic mode you would be given 50 attempts to complete the instance. If the raid wiped 50 times, all undefeated bosses would despawn for the remainder of the lockout period. A minimum of 25 attempts remaining were required for the chest to appear after defeating Anub'arak. Higher amounts of remaining attempts rewarded more and better items and achievements.

The attempt system and thus the chest was removed in patch 4.0.3a.
