This article contains lore taken from Warcraft novels, novellas, or short stories.

Unka is the younger sister of the tuskarr Taruka. She is an energetic child who was desperate to repair and fly Taruka's old kite, and Taruka hoped to earn enough knots to buy kite silk for her from the hoarder Warrak.

The night before their clan began their journey to Kamagua, Unka, Taruka, and their mother Makusha had a dinner which, as often happened, was not a happy occasion. Unka sulked because Taruka hadn't earned enough knots to buy her kite silk, and Makusha barely ate before she resumed working on an undershirt, a slower way of earning knots. Taruka declared that she would catch enough fish on the way to Kamagua to buy the kite silk, as well as tusk polish for Makusha. Unka covered her head with her sleeping furs and pretended to be asleep as her sister and mother wordlessly expressed their discontent at each other.

While Taruka took her boat, Unka and Makusha accompanied most of the rest of the clan to Kamagua by going across the ice. Taruka eventually arrived to the town riding the corpse of a huge sea monster she'd slain along the way, and dozens of tuskarr gathered on the shore to witness the spectacle. Taruka spotted her sister and mother in the crowd and waved at them. In response, the entire crowd waved back.[1]
