Unstable Oglethorpe's Octagonal Lenses are what remains of Oglethorpe's Octagonal Lenses, which can no longer be crafted. Prior to Shadowlands, using this item "restored" it into a  [Linkgrease Locksprocket] and 25  [Sorcerous Water].

The original version of this item, Oglethorpe's Octagonal Lenses, was crafted by engineers with a skill level of 1. The recipe was learned from  [Schematic: Oglethorpe's Octagonal Lenses], which could be purchased from the Engineering Works at Lunarfall or Frostwall, or from the engineering vendor in Stormshield or Warspear.
