Upper Blackrock Spire is the raid area of Blackrock Spire, and was only accessible if someone in the raid has a [Seal of Ascension] — from the quest [57] Seal of Ascension (1) in Lower Blackrock Spire. To enter the Upper Spire, use the same raid entrance as the Lower Spire and follow the left wall as you enter. You will reach a door with flameless braziers on either side of it, and when someone with a [Seal of Ascension] stands between the braziers, the door will open.

The instance has a 10 player cap. The lower part of it, Lower Blackrock Spire, is balanced for 5, though the 10 player limit is also placed on it.
